“What does luxury mean today? Can luxury be exclusive and democratic at the same time? How can we translate the essence of luxury to a wider audience? The world around us is changing rapidly and I find myself asking these questions more and more. The designer’s work is usually tailored to a very small group of people, but the collection for H&M was about trying to translate the dream of luxury to everyone. It was almost like going back to school for me.”- Alber Elbaz, artistic director of Lanvin
The wait is finally over, we saw the anticipated Lanvin+H&M collection, and we love it! The collaboration between the luxury designer and H&M was to bring the look of luxury to a mass audience and Elbaz has achieved that with interesting colorful designs. Bold floral patterns on mini dresses or one shoulder dresses with puff sleeves and a big ballerina dress fit for any party is just a few of our favorite pieces in the collection.
Here are some of our favorite pieces that wants us want to lineup at the H&M stores on November 20th! (Stores carrying this line will be open at 8am)
I’m not a big fan of faux-fur but this little vest has been in my mind since I saw it at the preview. I think I really have to lineup on Saturday morning for it and maybe a fun Parisian inspired T, and some fun accessories. I want it all!!!
The men’s collection designed by Lanvin’s men’s designer Lucas Ossendrijver, bringing the classic tuxedo look from night to day wear. I specially loved the white tuxedo jacket and the tailored jogging pants trimmed with grosgrain.
So make sure you don’t miss your chance to have a piece of luxury in your closet on November 20th (Canada and the US) and on November 23rd everywhere else in the world!
