On Saturday night, I attended the Mercedez-Benz Oakville Fashion Show which was hosted by Fashion Television’s Jeanne Beker at the Oakville Performing Art Center. Having attended a few seasons of Toronto Fashion Week,I had an idea how the night was going to go but I was pleasantly surprised as the night went on…I started the night at Paradiso, a charming little Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Oakville. While walking around the room and chatting up some locals I realized how important events like these are for the community. Downtown Oakville is a beautiful place filled with nice little boutiques, stores and eateries and this night was all about supporting these businesses in a unique, intimate and fashionable way! Sapporo Sound Den

Yesterday Eunji and I checked out the Sapporo Sound Den VIP event held at Cheval on King west. The event was a great success, filled with party goers enjoying the last nights of summer while sipping away on cold Sapporo, dancing the night away with the music of DJ Am-e and EC Twins.

During the event we got Sapporo vouchers and a recipe card for a Sapporo infused cocktail that’s yet to be named with coconut rum and sweet vermouth. (help them name the cocktail and win some VIP swag, click here) Continue reading “Sapporo Sound Den”

Day Of Fun With VW Canada

After weeks of waiting the VW Freedriving Tour day came around. I felt like a teenage boy who finally got his full drivers permit and was getting schooled on the art of driving from one of the Top Gear guys. Yes, I’m a girl who loves cars and follows Top Gear, so what? 😉

After signing in and getting my track pass all setup, I took a little time to just watch other people go through their tests first, so I can figure out the course. I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t be able to read one particular sign…

Here is a video of what I was watching, I’m not the best videographer, sorry!

After watching other people have all the fun, it was my turn. check out how I did in the Tiguan, love the noise it makes when I’m flat on the floor…

Lanvin + H&M Preview @ The AGO

“What does luxury mean today? Can luxury be exclusive and democratic at the same time? How can we translate the essence of luxury to a wider audience? The world around us is changing rapidly and I find myself asking these questions more and more. The designer’s work is usually tailored to a very small group of people, but the collection for H&M was about trying to translate the dream of luxury to everyone. It was almost like going back to school for me.”- Alber Elbaz, artistic director of Lanvin

The wait is finally over, we saw the anticipated Lanvin+H&M collection, and we love it! The collaboration between the luxury designer and H&M was to bring the look of luxury to a mass audience and Elbaz has achieved that with interesting colorful designs. Bold floral patterns on mini dresses or one shoulder dresses with puff sleeves and a big ballerina dress fit for any party is just a few of our favorite pieces in the collection.

Here are some of our favorite pieces that wants us want to lineup at the H&M stores on November 20th! (Stores carrying this line will be open at 8am)

I’m not a big fan of faux-fur but this little vest has been in my mind since I saw it at the preview. I think I really have to lineup on Saturday morning for it and maybe a fun Parisian inspired T, and some fun accessories. I want it all!!!

The men’s collection designed by Lanvin’s men’s designer Lucas Ossendrijver, bringing the classic tuxedo look from night to day wear. I specially loved the white tuxedo jacket and the tailored jogging pants trimmed with grosgrain. Continue reading “Lanvin + H&M Preview @ The AGO”
