When I first saw the Stella Lace dress from Banana Republic, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to pull it off. I tried it on and I loved it! It hugs the figure perfectly and the lace is oh so feminine, the perfect dress to take you from day to evening. Here’s how I wear my dress. Continue reading “The Lace Dress”
We’re only about 6 weeks away from Christmas and I thought I should put my wishlist online for anyone who wants to be my secret Santa! There are only 17 items on the list at the moment and as we get closer to … Continue reading My Holiday Wishlist – 2010
“What does luxury mean today? Can luxury be exclusive and democratic at the same time? How can we translate the essence of luxury to a wider audience? The world around us is changing rapidly and I find myself asking these questions more and more. The designer’s work is usually tailored to a very small group of people, but the collection for H&M was about trying to translate the dream of luxury to everyone. It was almost like going back to school for me.”- Alber Elbaz, artistic director of Lanvin
The wait is finally over, we saw the anticipated Lanvin+H&M collection, and we love it! The collaboration between the luxury designer and H&M was to bring the look of luxury to a mass audience and Elbaz has achieved that with interesting colorful designs. Bold floral patterns on mini dresses or one shoulder dresses with puff sleeves and a big ballerina dress fit for any party is just a few of our favorite pieces in the collection.
Here are some of our favorite pieces that wants us want to lineup at the H&M stores on November 20th! (Stores carrying this line will be open at 8am)
I’m not a big fan of faux-fur but this little vest has been in my mind since I saw it at the preview. I think I really have to lineup on Saturday morning for it and maybe a fun Parisian inspired T, and some fun accessories. I want it all!!!
The men’s collection designed by Lanvin’s men’s designer Lucas Ossendrijver, bringing the classic tuxedo look from night to day wear. I specially loved the white tuxedo jacket and the tailored jogging pants trimmed with grosgrain. Continue reading “Lanvin + H&M Preview @ The AGO”

I found this bag on net-a-porter.com when I was on the site to check out new Spring 2010 collections. I absolutely love this bag. The neutral color would go with everything in my wardrobe and add a little rock ‘n’ roll edge to all my outfits. I love bags like this – a little different, with a bit of attitude. Alexander McQueen did a … Continue reading Things I Love…
I love this beautiful handbag. I was downtown today at The Bay on Queen Street where they have relaunched “The Room” – a couture boutique within the store. It was my first visit since the relaunch and I was interested to see what labels and designers that they had selected to showcase. I know that The Room is an attempt for The Bay to get back … Continue reading Things I Love…
