This is a picture of 1 of the many windows of Salvatore Ferragamo store in Florence. Positioned at the end of hall way and locked up behind an iron gate at nights. It’s super simple but so pretty. Italians make the simplest, most regular thing look spectacular. Can some one please send me back to Florence? Continue reading Does everything look better in Italy?

I’ve been hooked on a new TV show called “George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces“. He has inspired me to look at small spaces with a fresh eye. I always loved an idea of converting a garage into a cute living space, a garden shed into a studio or a guest suite. It probably would be a challenging process but the result would be wonderful. I actually remember seeing an article about some Torontonians doing just that on Toronto Life and the spaces that were created were beautiful. Imagine how amazing it would be to convert a bare unworkable space and design a functioning living area out of it! Continue reading “Drooling Over Small Spaces”
It was last year around this time that I got a chance to attend the Cool Nordic event in downtown Toronto. An event held by all the Nordic countries to bring forward the best of the best from Scandinavian countries. One of the most things I enjoyed about my experience was learning about how all of these countries follow the “less is more” way of thinking. Architecture, design and fashion all seem to follow the same thought process but they are so intriguing. Since that time, I’ve been randomly Google searching, Pinteresting and reading up on the Scandinavian countries and all I have to say is, there’s more to them than Volvo, H&M and Ikea and…. I REALLY WANT TO GO THERE!!! Badly!!
Here is a little taste of Scandinavia….. Continue reading “Day Dreaming About Scandinavia”
Skagen the Danish contemporary accessories company has been around for 25 years, designing simple, clean and accessible watches, bags and jewellery. I’m a big fan of watches and when I saw the Skagen watches at the Cool Nordic Workshop, I loved their simple designs. Nothing is better than a classic timepiece with great workmanship. I also got a chance to get a sneak preview of Skagen’s brand new handbag and jewellery lines. The bags are great, from everyday to going out.
