During our family getaway to Florence my sister decided to spoil us by staying at the super lux Gallery Hotel Art. They are one of the few Lungarno Collection hotels located across Florence with amazing location, service and views. Our experience started off at the station were we were picked up by our super smooth driver in a luxury car. He casually drove through busy cobble stone roads leading up to the hotel. It was a nice sunny day and I have to give him props for not just plowing through the crowd walking all over the road and blocking his way on Via Por Santa Maria leading up to Ponte Vecchio.

Our room was the Pitti penthouse and had the most amazing feel and rooftop terrace overlooking Florence city.

The room was very comfortable and great to share for the 3 of us with a nice big bathroom, walking closet and a 2nd floor sitting/sleeping area that was set up as my area. The room was filled with lots of little personal touches of welcome, convenience, luxury and of course art. Salvatore Ferragamo bath amenities, free WiFi, Bose sounds system and super comfortable beds made us feel right at home. How sweet is this note that was left in our room. I don’t even remember the last time I saw one of these!

After roaming around the first floor, we made our way up to second floor and my area and found the doors to THE terrace to die for….fantastic lounging area to soak in the amazing views from all around Florence. The terrace had 2 areas as well; a dining section and another level with comfortable white sofas and lounge chairs to take in the views and the sun.

The avant-garde spaces in the hotel is filled with little reminders of the story of Gallery Hotel Art and the contemporary art inspiration behind it’s design. It is for sure “a place to see and to be seen at”.

There are a couple of spots at the hotel to have breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks. We did eat breakfast at the hotel and it was set up in a cute little sitting area with great options from bread and butter to cold cuts and cheese and hot food. Alternatively, you can try some of the other restaurants in the sister hotels in the city and all within few minutes walking.
