A few weeks ago I visited Sunny San Diego to visit my family and it was a great short get away from the Polar Vortex up here in Canada. Although I was SUPER excited for the trip I spent a ridiculous amount of time to pack for 18 to 25 degree weather. I am out of practice, it’s been 6 months since I wore less than 5 layers and no parka jackets. But enough about my wardrobe problems….
It was great to be able to see what all the hype is about California and catch up with my family. Thanks to my awesome cousins and aunt and uncle I managed to squeeze in as much as I could in a 5 day trip; San Diego, La Jolla and Orange County were amazing cities. Culture, food and sight-seeing!
I spent a day in La Jolla and spent another day walking through Balboa Park in San Diego. I think we walked for a good 5-6 hours at the park. It was one of my favourite moments of my trip to walk around the park and checkout the great museums and shops, total cultural moment happening.
How pretty is this building….
Taking a break at the end of an awesome day with my auntie.
I was lucky enough to go to the highest point in San Diego as well and after I shouted out “Stay Classy San Diego!” I took this blurry picture of the city…. (Sorry had to go there…haha)
The super bright buildings in the middle is the Mormon Church….and of course the highway…
After coming back home to the freezing weather in Toronto, I miss the warm wonderful California sun and can’t wait to go back again.
