Today was the first official day of Toronto LG Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2011. Being a newbie at this whole fashion week business, I was super excited to attend all the shows and get as many pictures as I could. Lucky for me I managed to score a few front row sits for the first few shows and I that just made it all so much sweeter.
Here is the list of shows I attended on:
Day 1:
Jules Power show had a great young vibe to it. I will for sure check out her store within the next week to try out her designs.
OR by Angela Chen‘s collection was AMAZING! I never heard of her work till I received the LGFW schedule few weeks back. I’m glad I got to see her work in person. It made me think of summer vacations at the beach.
LOVAS by Wesley Badanjak had some interesting pieces in the collection and some not so interesting ones…Don’t hate me but some of the pieces reminded me of MEXX clothing, not that there’s anything wrong with MEXX, I just expected something different. Sorry.
Pink Tartan delivered a great show. After seeing the collection I know why it got so busy when it was time for them to show their ss2011 collection. Who wouldn’t want to see all those beautiful clothes!
Jessica Jensen + Alexander Berardi Great collaboration between the handbag designer and a clothing designer. Loved all the looks and can’t wait to see more from them.
Line Knitwear never fails to get the audiences approval. I fell in love with the jumpers and the soft colors of this collection.
Stay tuned as I slowly post my thoughts and experiences during this season of Toronto fashion week. It’s going to be a crazy ride!
…So keep checking back for my updates. I promise I’m going to start putting some pictures up for the shows. It’s hard work being me right now..haha
