On Tuesday I attended the launch event for 2013 Lexus LS held by Northwest Lexus in Rose Theatre, Brampton. Everyone from Lexus Canada CEO to the team at Northwest Lexus and loyal customers of Lexus were super excited to finally be able to get an up close look at Lexus’s flagship sedan. After couple of hours of mingling and eating we were officially introduced to the new redesigned addition to the Lexus lineup and boy it did not disappoint. Everyone was super impressed with the new look and of course functions of the Lexus LS.
On Monday I was invited by Land Rover of Toronto to check out Range Rover Evoque, their new compact SUV, at the Grand Touring Automobiles location. My first impression was “OMG, this car looks angry!” and I loved it. I always thought if I’m going to drive a small SUV I want it to be intimidating and sexy at the same time. Let’s just say the coupe version of Evoque in Fuji White is exactly what I had pictured.
Evoque is a mixture of the old Range Rovers with their familiar front grills mixed with the new design of sharp lines on the sides. The muscular shoulders give Range Rover Evoque a natural presence and magnetism making it a sigh worthy car. This car screams DRIVE ME!!! I can totally picture myself driving this beauty all over the city from running errands to going to the coolest parties in town. This could just be THE car to be seen in during TIFF2011!!! Sigh….
For years now I’ve been talking with my friends to go back to Italy where we all met for the first time during a university abroad program in a little town called Siena. After hearing about the launch of 500 by Gucci during the Milan Fashion Week, I think I have more reasons to make that trip sooner than later. I would love to give this car a try because the first family car related memories that I have is from our little red Fiat 128, another reason is that it would be fun to zip through all the narrow streets in Siena with the 500 and lets face it, this car is super stylish and adorable!
500 by Gucci is a collaboration between the Italian car maker and Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini to celebrate Gucci’s 90th anniversary. The 500 by Gucci will initially be available from April 1st to June 30th (in Italy), exclusively by pre-order online at www.500bygucci.com, starting from 17,000 euros or about $24,000. But if that’s a big price tag for a limited edition Fiat, you can buy one of the pieces from the exclusive 500 by Gucci collection: travel accessories, small leather goods, tracksuits, bombers, driving gloves, glasses and a watch for both men and women, available from April in select Gucci stores and online at www.gucci.com. I can’t wait to see the 500 in person whenever it hits the North American market, I think it would be a cool car to test out!
After receiving my Founding Member’s pass for my sneak preview of Mr Porter this weekend, I decided to share some of the great pieces (in my opinion!) that I found on this website. Don’t forget, Mr Porter is officially launching tomorrow Feb. 22, 2011. See you all there!
On Thursday night, Solmaz and I attended the official launch party of the White Space at The Bay Yorkdale which was co-hosted by the Fashion Magazine. The launch party featured some great music, a cute candy bar and some great Fall looks that were presented by Sarah Casselman, the Fashion Market Editor of Fashion Magazine. Designer Adam Lippes of ADAM was to make a special appearance but due … Continue reading White Space Launch – The Bay Yorkdale
Couple of weeks ago I was invited to attend an event held to launch Jessica Biffi’s collection for Addition Elle. I was SUPER excited about this invitation since I’m a big fan of Jessica Biffi and her work since seeing her on Project Runway Canada and I just couldn’t pass the opportunity to meet her and see her designs up close and personal. Before the … Continue reading Q & A – Jessica Biffi
