We all experience those hot and nasty days that make our faces melt right off. The type of days that your beauty products and all those promises they make to stay where you carefully put them get tested. Here are some of my tried and tested products that can beat the Summer heat.
I always had issues with oil control on my T zone. I have combination skin and I use to get super shiny midday and feel my makeup just coming right off. I start off my day with Vinosource Mattifying Moisturizer by Caudalie. Super smooth and it has a cooling effect and I can feel my skin soaking the moisture right in while giving a matt finish. Really love their product, they are clean and my skin loves it. The good thing about this moisturizer is that it works both on the oily areas and parts of my skin that gets dry. To help perk up my skin after a late night or rough night I use Urban Decay’s Rebound Collagen-Infused Complexion Prep Priming Sprayunder my moisturizer. This helps with the rebuilding of your skin and helps bring a little glow and radiance to the skin.
I have fair skin and parts of my face sometimes look a bit bruised looking with all the fine veins showing and the fact that I have a little rosacea does not help my cause. I use e.l.f. Tone correcting Powderto get it all brushed out before jumping to foundation. If you have a little unevenness I recommend this powder. Plus e.l.f. has great price points for all their products. I use a lot of their products and brushes and never had any issues. It’s perfect for when you want to try new things but you don’t want to spend the extra $$ on super expensive makeup.
Next up, a little Hello Flawless! Powder Foundation from Benefit cosmetics in “I’m cute as a bunny! Honey”. Love the name!!! It’s easy to put on using a powder brush or sponge and although it feels super light it has great coverage. A little blush by e.l.f. and Sunlit bronzer in Maui Nights by Becca. Use a little highlighter to give a little glow on cheek bones and around your eyebrow arch. I’ve been using Illuminating Palette by e.l.f. and it works great. The last step is the MOST important step….
SEAL your master piece!!!! I use Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray. I have been testing this line up for a while now and it’s one of the only combination of products that keeps the shine at bay.
Let me know if any of you tried any of these products and what you think of them and if you have any other secret beauty routines to fight the shine in the Summer.
