Purity Made Simple – Philosophy
A while back, I did a review on Philosophy’s moisturizer, Hope in a Jar, and promised that I would do a follow-up on Hope in a Jar and a review of the cleanser, Purity Made Simple, since I bought them together. (Click here for the review on Purity Made Simple). This foaming cleanser is meant to be used for all skin types but when I was at Sephora they recommended it to me because I have oily skin. I have really oily skin but this was way too drying, even for me – it left dry patches on my chin and around my nose. If you have dry or combination skin, STAY AWAY from this cleanser. I have stopped using it and may try it again during the summer. Purity Made Simple “deeply cleanses, tones, and removes make-up” according to the label on the back but I still felt the need to use toner afterwards. However, it did do a pretty good job of removing my make-up. The things I liked most about this cleanser are the “foaminess”, the clean scent and the packaging. I probably …
