Day Of Fun With VW Canada

After weeks of waiting the VW Freedriving Tour day came around. I felt like a teenage boy who finally got his full drivers permit and was getting schooled on the art of driving from one of the Top Gear guys. Yes, I’m a girl who loves cars and follows Top Gear, so what? 😉 After signing in and getting my track pass all setup, I took a little time to just watch other people go through their tests first, so I can figure out the course. I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t be able to read one particular sign… Here is a video of what I was watching, I’m not the best videographer, sorry! After watching other people have all the fun, it was my turn. check out how I did in the Tiguan, love the noise it makes when I’m flat on the floor…

Here I Though I Was Being Good!

You know when you’re up late and hungry? It’s too late to eat food and it’s still a long time till breakfast time. So i was experiencing one of those nights and i though I was being good and just settling for some yogurt and fruit, peach is my favorite! So I sat down with my yogurt and continued watching my 2am rerun of Top Gear. This fruity yogurt was a new brand I never heard of, Chobani. I got that day from McEwan and excited about trying it. It tasted different from other brands I’ve tried, creamy yet still felt like I was eating cottage cheese, YUCK! But I still didn’t mind the yogurt and I finished it. After I put the last spoon in my mouth I started reading the labels around the little container and the more I read, the more I felt guilty about eating my healthy snack. Greek yogurt, non-fat, 140 calories!!! What the hell…… That’s a meal!!! So late night snackers be aware, read the label before you eat …

From Paddington Bear to Top Gear

Being a fan of British anything I recently came across an interesting fact about two of my favorite Brit things, Paddington toy bear and Jeremy Clarkson, journalist and host of Top Gear. The first Paddington Bear was created by Gabrielle Designs in 1972, a small business run by Shirley and Eddie Clarkson, with the prototype made as a Christmas present for their children Joanna and Jeremy Clarkson. According to Clarkson’s bio, he’s parents couldn’t pay the fees for his school, but thanks to their home-made christmas gift to their children they managed to put both Jeremy and his sister in very good schools. But Clarkson was not the most well-behaved student though and eventually he was kicked out the Repton school for smoking and drinking and making a fool out of himself. I guess not that much has changed since he was younger! I just thought that was a weird connection between these two things and worth sharing! sa
