I saw these Hydra pumps by Rupert Sanderson some time ago at the Queen street Location of The Bay (The Room) and I can’t stop thinking about them. Killer heels, super comfortable and oh so pretty. The color combo makes it both a nice basic shoe and a fun pair of peep toes to add to any shoe closet. I tried them on and they … Continue reading Shoe Porn By Rupert Sanderson
Solmaz attended the God Save the Queen Gala (click here for the post) and I attended the designer panel discussion and trunk show the next day at The Room at The Bay Queen Street Store. Unfortunately because of ever-present traffic on the highways, I was a bit delayed in reaching The Bay so I ended up being a little late to the event. (Sorry everyone…)
When I reached The Room the designer panel was well underway with the British designers and Leith Clark, the editor-in-chief of Lula Magazine. The discussion was focused on London Fashion and how they were influenced the city.

This week I attend an intimate gathering to meet L’Wren Scott and see her ss2011 collection at The Room. L’Wren Scott started her career in fashion at a very young age sewing clothes for herself. Being … Continue reading L’Wren Scott SS2011 @ The Room
On October 14th and 15th, The Bay held a two-day welcoming party to a group of talented British contemporary fashion designers Charlotte Olympia Dellal, Giles Deacon, Mark Fast, Erdem Moralioglu, Jonathan Saunders, Marios Schwab, and Nicholas Kirkwood. The first day of the “God Save the Queen” event started with an invite only gala held at The Room, which was transformed into a fashion gallery showcasing each designers work. The attendees at the event included socialites, fashion industry’s who’s who and media.
Interestingly, two of the “British” designers are in fact, Canadian, but they are based out of London. Designers Erdem Moralioglu and Mark Fast are two of the best examples of Canadian talent and I am glad that they are so well-known globally for their designs.
Just in case you’ve somehow didn’t hear about this fantastic event at the Queen st. Bay store, the British are coming! This is going to be an exciting lineup of British contemporary designers where they will hold discussion panels and trunk shows all day tomorrow. Here`s the schedule: The Room, 176 Yonge Street, 3rd floor Complimentary Valet Parking at Richmond Street entrance Guests: Charlotte Olympia … Continue reading God Save The Queen Event Info
I love this beautiful handbag. I was downtown today at The Bay on Queen Street where they have relaunched “The Room” – a couture boutique within the store. It was my first visit since the relaunch and I was interested to see what labels and designers that they had selected to showcase. I know that The Room is an attempt for The Bay to get back … Continue reading Things I Love…
