Fiat 500 By Gucci

For years now I’ve been talking with my friends to go back to Italy where we all met for the first time during a university abroad program in a little town called Siena. After hearing about the launch of 500 by Gucci during the Milan Fashion Week, I think I have more reasons to make that trip sooner than later. I would love to give this car a try because the first family car related memories that I have is from our little red Fiat 128, another reason is that it would be fun to zip through all the narrow streets in Siena with the 500 and lets face it, this car is super stylish and adorable!

500 by Gucci is a collaboration between the Italian car maker and Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini to celebrate Gucci’s 90th anniversary. The 500 by Gucci will initially be available from April 1st to June 30th (in Italy), exclusively by pre-order online at www.500bygucci.com, starting from 17,000 euros or about $24,000. But if that’s a big price tag for a limited edition Fiat, you can buy one of the pieces from the exclusive 500 by Gucci collection: travel accessories, small leather goods, tracksuits, bombers, driving gloves, glasses and a watch for both men and women, available from April in select Gucci stores and online at www.gucci.com. I can’t wait to see the 500 in person whenever it hits the North American market, I think it would be a cool car to test out!

Here’s a little more information about the 500: Continue reading “Fiat 500 By Gucci”

Brian Atwood King Of Super High Stilettos

We all heard of him, seen his shoes walk down red carpets and on the silver screens but who is Brian Atwood.

Atwood got his first taste of fashion as a boy while he watched his mother pick out her clothes every day. When older he studied art and architecture at University of Illinois and continued his education as a clothing designer at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Lucky for him and his good looks and charming personality he managed to land a job as a model and with that he made his first connections inside the fashion world. During his modeling years Brian managed to make ties with one of the most relevent designers of our time, Gianni Versace. I?n 1996 He was hired as the designer of Versace’s ready-to-wear line. After years of grooming his skills, finally in 2001, Brian Atwood shoes label was created.

Atwood believes that every detail counts, all the way down to your shoes, he was even heard saying that if he sees someone dressed up but wearing the wrong shoes, it would just turn him off completely.

Brian Atwood has also served as a creative director of the Swiss brand shoe maker, Bally, from 2007 till May 2010. He’s last line is to hit the runways for Fall 2010, so looking forward to seeing those shoes!

Fun Facts about Brian Atwood:

I am drooling over these shoes that SJP has worn on the set of the new Sex and The City 2 movie, not because I’m a big fan of hers

but I love these shoes. They retail for about $800. If I could last more than 2 hours on any heels I would’ve bought these shoes.
