As you all know by now, I’ve been obsessed by bow ties lately. I seek them out, beautiful colors and patterns. They are sometimes such hard things to come by (at least the nicer ones), so when my friend generously gifted his vintage bow tie to me, I was super excited to wear it. So, this is how I showed up to work! Thanks for the bow tie and the picture xp! 🙂 In this picture: Suit & Scarf: Banana Republic Shirt: Gap Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr. Q groovee bag Belt: Burberry Shoes: Converse What do you guys think about this look? What would be your modern twist to the classic black suit and bow tie? sa
I always found it a bit too hard to pack my suitcases back when traveling back home from a shopping trip. There’s always issues with weight restrictions or running out of space which usually means buying a new suitcase to bring all the new goodies home. Somehow Mr.BBM did not have this problem. This is what we left behind when we checked out from our lovely hotel (Chelsea Hotel) in Miami. I don’t think Florida was ready for what hit them! Lol Sa
Banana Republic theme for this fall is “Life at work”, and I totally get it. Most people I know including myself spend half of our time at work so our wardrobe should work for both work and everyday (play!). I love the look of cargo pants paired with structured jackets; the classic trench coat is a MUST in every closet and is still going strong in the fall lineup. I love the mixture of silks with the wools, the warm chunky sweaters for men worn with a lightweight wool just to dress it up for work. Love it!! I can’t wait to see what’s around the corner for their Holiday line. Here are a couple of favorite looks from their Fall 2010 lookbook. sa Ladies wear….. And for the guys this season…..
