Blog Love – All Lacquered Up

I came across a blog the other day…  all about nail polish! All Lacquered Up  is a blog created by Michelle, a self-proclaimed nail polish fanatic who blogs about the latest and greatest in nail trends. She blogs from the back stages of New York Fashion Week, attends previews of new nail color collections and shares valuable information with her readers.  The absolute best part of her blog is her “swatches.” She paints the newest colors on her nails herself and share pictures with her readers. The results are amazing and informative since you can see what the latest nail polish looks like on someone’s actual hand. She also reviews the quality of the polish and gives out great advice on how to give yourself a good manicure. I can’t post any images from her blog right now but hopefully I’ll get permission from her soon and I will update this post once I have the pictures. In the mean time, check out the blog: http://www.alllacqueredup.com/ E

God Save the Queen Event – Designer Panel and Trunk Show

Solmaz attended the God Save the Queen Gala (click here for the post) and I attended the designer panel discussion and trunk show the next day at The Room at The Bay Queen Street Store. Unfortunately because of ever-present traffic on the highways, I was a bit delayed in reaching The Bay so I ended up being a little late to the event. (Sorry everyone…) When I reached The Room the designer panel was well underway with the British designers and Leith Clark, the editor-in-chief of Lula Magazine. The discussion was focused on London Fashion and how they were influenced the city.

Best of Body Moisturizers – SaJe’s Picks

With all the glorious fall weather we have been enjoying in Toronto lately, it’s hard to believe that winter is just around the corner. Not only does it mean face-numbingly cold temperatures and inches of slushy melting snow everywhere, it also means that freezing temperatures and indoor heating will be wreaking havoc on our skin as well. Fortunately, there are many ways to prevent dry skin problems during the winter. One of the most important things is moisturizing! Of course, there are tons of moisturizers out on the market right now and the most important thing is to choose the best one for your skin. Here are some of my choices: St. Ives – Oatmeal & Shea Butter Body Moisturizer
