Thanks to Susan Tyndall of O Live PR, I was invited for the media breakfast at this year’s One Of A Kind Show. The breakfast for this event was prepared by students at George Brown College Chef School. On the menu, Scottish eggs, cornflake crusted french toast and fresh fruit salads to just name a few. I loved the breakfast because it was freshly made … Continue reading One Of A Kind Show
I think I just got my first taste of a real sample sale. I checked out the PYA sample sale (15 Apex rd., Toronto) and I could not believe the craziness that was going on. The prices are great and the shoppers are shopping bags and bags of discounted designer wear such as Like Knitwear, Ted Baker and Earnest Sewn to name a few. Go … Continue reading PYA Sample Sale
British Chef and TV celeb Gordon Ramsay was in Toronto this week and he stopped by Arcadian Court at The Bay, where he was welcomed by a big crowd of fans, aspiring chefs and media. After attending this event now I understand why everyone loves Chef Ramsay, he’s warm, has a sense of humor and his accent makes him oh so adorable. Prince William is officially engaged. We all I knew this day would come sooner or later but it kind a hurts a little when you realize your childish fantasy about becoming a princess and marrying one of the most famous royal bachelor in the face of the earth. Today Clarence House told the media that Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to marry in … Continue reading It’s Over, I won’t Be A Princess Anymore…

Every year I try to make it down to the National Women’s Show at the Toronto Metro Convention center to checkout all the new product that are either not available in Ontario or they are not out in the market yet. What I like about this 3 day event is the broad range of product being introduced at the show and in some cases being sold about a fraction of the price. I attend the show to learn about new beauty products and of course all the yummy food.
National Women’s Show is the best place to be for any one, not just women. Who wouldn’t want to learn about new health and fitness products; do some research for future travels (maybe even enter to win a few!) then stop by to sample amazing food products and buy some to take home. After that a quick stop at any of the many beauty booths to learn about new products available to have beautiful hair and skin. Touch up on the makeup and do a glam photo shoot for your very own Chatelaine magazine cover, thanks to the Rogers company.
Take some time and enjoy a 20 min massage from a professional RMT, then take part to break the Guinness World record for the largest number of people applying lipstick (FYI, that’s 320 ppl!). There are so many more services and products available at the show to mention. I think of it as a one stop shop, a very BIG shop! Continue reading “Day Of Fun @ National Women’s Show”
