Finally it’s here, the first day of Toronto Fashion week, new venue, new runway and new clothes. Before we were allowed to go in, I took a walk around the tents to see how it was set up and I must say I enjoy the new location and the whole tent thing. It has a NYFW vibe to it and it creates a buzz around the neighborhood. Everyone wants to know what the Canada Cool tent is all about. Now the first show of the night was Holt Renfrew’s “There’s No Place Like Holts” celebrating Canadian designers such as Jeremy Laing, Smythe, Denis Gagnon and few others. I enjoyed the opening speeches and the runway, Kind a gets you pumped up for the week ahead.
While hanging out at the Rachel Zoe event at Holt Renfrew I kept getting drawn towards this AMAZING maxi skirt that was in front of me…. I’ve been looking for the perfect skirt for a while now and this one checks all the boxes…. Too bad, it wasn’t on sale at Holt Renfrew… Hope she doesn’t mind I snapped her picture! Who knows, where this skirt is from?? solmaz UPDATE: This is the Shannon printed maxi skirt from Alice+Olivia and is available on Net-A-Porter website! Thanks to Susu for letting me know! 🙂
Yesterday fans of Rachel Zoe gathered at the Bloor st. location of Holt Renfrew for a meet and greet session and to check out her clothing line, Rachel Zoe. The fans were lined up for some time to be able to get an autograph and snap a picture with the stylish Ms. Zoe and to learn about her involvement with one of the most well-known fashion events of the year, Fashion Night Out in New York. I want this bag and the black booties!! Sigh…. I really liked the shoes Rachel was wearing herself, I wonder where I can get these puppies!!! I can’t wait to see more pieces from Rachel’s collection at Holt Renfrew, I think her pieces are a great addition to an already amazing shopping hotspot in Toronto. Solmaz
