Loan $25 to change lives through Kiva

So I’m always online searching through many fantastic websites with great ideas to help make people’s lives easier..I’m thinking BIG ideas here…and I like to share one of them with you all.
I wanted to let you know about Kiva, a non-profit that allows you to lend as little as $25 to a specific low-income entrepreneur across the globe.

“You choose who to lend to – whether a baker in Afghanistan, a goat herder in Uganda, a farmer in Peru, a restaurateur in Cambodia, or a tailor in Iraq – and as they repay their loan, you get your money back.  It’s a powerful and sustainable way to allow someone to lift themselves out of poverty.”

I read through their entire site and I found it very interesting how $25 can make such a difference. There are always risks involved too. I’m a bit foggy about their repayment and what if the person you’re loaning it to wasn’t able to repay your money but then again, it just might be my ESL (English as a second language) hahahaha….

I’m planning to sign up and lend my first $25 and see how it works. Never hurts to help another fellow mankind….so I will put updates about my donation and let you all know how it goes.
