After having so much fun at the One Of A Kind Christmas show last year I decided to attend the show this spring to find new artists and visit my favorites from last season.

Here are some of my favorite looks from Club Monaco‘s spring 2011 women’s collection.

I just finished watching the video for Anna Sui’s Spring 2011 runway show. I loved this look from the collection. Little crocheted shorts and a delicate top with beautiful bead work on it is a perfect feminine look for the spring and summer.

Thanks to The Bay’s The Room now Canadian fashion lovers are able to purchase their favorite pieces from one of the most sought-after designer/stylist in the business, L’Wren Scott. This week I attend an intimate gathering to meet L’Wren Scott and see her ss2011 collection at The Room.

L’Wren Scott started her career in fashion at a very young age sewing clothes for herself. Being talented and very tall (she’s know for her height of 6’4″) she scored her first modeling job with Chanel and moved to Paris. After modeling for years, she realized her love for the art of designing and styling. L’Wren eventually moved to LA and became a stylist and a costume designer for movies and in 2006 she started the brand L’Wren Scott with her “Little Black Dress” collection.

Spring/Summer 2011 collection is all about great silhouettes and lots of sequins, beads and color! I don’t remember seeing many collections that offered pieces from Black all the way to the blues, greens, red, yellows and white. It’s going to be all about the colors in Spring and Summer. One of my favorite pieces in the collection was this great green and gold number, I couldn’t take my eyes off of it!

During the event I found out about the Lancome/L’Wren Scott collaboration for the Holiday line for Lancome cosmetics. The Shades are absolutely great and I was so glad to see that grays and maroons are still in for nail polish colors. Part of this Holiday line that’s going to be available as of this week at the Bay stores was a great black metallic mascara. I thought it was such a great fun way to add some sparkle to an eye makeup for an evening look.

I greatly enjoyed the addition of Scott’s collection to The Room’s already fantastic lineup of top designer’s works. All her pieces have a simple common quality to them, they are timeless; Scott believes in designing pieces that are classic, versatile and can be worn in different ways and environments. I for one love that concept since it makes it easy to build a wardrobe filled with quality, investment pieces that would never go out of style.

After watching Denis Gagnon’s ss2011 collection, I realized his a genius! His collection was elegant, creative and fresh. I loved the whole feel of it and I loved the combination of the green and the soft pink.  Sigh…I’m going to add some of the pieces to my wish list….starting with the long striped clutch with super long fringes on it!
