Janelle Monae is one of those rare singers who has the voice and the style. I find that most singers these days are so run of the mill with no substance but Janelle Monae has the most amazing voice and passion for singing. It’s not my usual kind of song but Janelle Monae makes it great.

I had no idea that Miguel was quite young until I looked him up on the web to find this song. Despite his age (22 years-old), Miguel already has experience working with artists such as Usher and Asher Roth so it’s no surprise to hear such a polished sound from a newcomer.

I love this cool remake of Cyndi Lauper’s ”Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”. J Brazil (Yosef Brazil) was raised in a strict Orthodox Jewish family in New York but lived on the streets for a few years during his teens which allowed him to have exposure to different types of music - hence, this interesting mash-up of musical influences. Also, his father is a very famous Jewish composer which probably exposed J to differnt and interesting music from a very early age.
I think this has major summer hit potential. We just need some sun and a cool pool party. :)

I heard this on XM Satellite in my car and loved it. (I highly recommend getting satellite radio btw.) B.o.B (aka Bobby Ray) is dropping his debut album in a few months and this is a new single he released from the album.
I went to his MySpace and listened to some other songs and I think his album will be quite good. Lookin’ forward to it
