Awhile ago I started using daily microfoliant by Dermalogica and I loved it. When I went to buy some more of my newly found beauty product I decided to buy a travel package that came with free samples of Dermalogica’s Special Cleansing Gel and Active Moist. Thanks to that decision, now I have another favorite beauty product, a great moisturizer!

Having both oily and dry spots on my face was making it so hard to find a moisturizer that would both keep my skin moist and not make it super oily. Since I started using active moist about couple of months ago, my skin feels amazing.!! The good thing about Active Moist is, it’s long-lasting, even on a cold dry weather I don’t feel my skin is drying out.

According to Dermalogica’s website Active moist is an unscented oil-free moisturizer, I have to say, the Active Moist does smell but not a fruity or sweet smell. Think more like something your doctor would prescribe to you; personally find it more appealing than scents from other facial moisturizers.

Here’s some more info on Active Moist:

  • Sheer formula provides effective oil-free hydration without a greasy after-feel.
  • Silk Amino Acids help smooth and improve skin texture.
  • Natural astringents Lemon, Ivy, Watercress, and Burdock help refine the skin.
I don’t want this post to sound like something the good people at The Shopping Network would write, but give Active Moist a try. You wont regret it!

I’m always on a look out for facial cleansers because I have sensitive skin that is both oily and dry. I think I have found the answer to my prayers in daily microfoliant by Dermalogica . I’ve been using this rice-baced enzyme powder for the last month and I’m loving it. Thanks to its tiny particles it makes it super easy for this exfoliant to get into all those little spots and clean out all the dirt and oil away from my face, leaving it super smooth and soft.

Here is some more info about Dermalogica’s daily microfoliant:

  • Unique powder activates upon contact with water, releasing Papain, Salicylic Acid and Rice enzymes that micro-exfoliate, leaving skin smoother and brighter.
  • Skin Brightening Complex of Aspergillus, Grapefruit and Licorice helps to balance uneven skin pigmentation.
  • Super-soothing blend of Green Tea, Ginkgo and Colloidal Oatmeal helps calm skin, leaving it extraordinarily clear and refreshed.

UPDATE!! To try this product by Dermalogica enter Life by Saje Dermalogica contest by March 11, 11pm!

Every year I try to make it down to the National Women’s Show at the Toronto Metro Convention center to checkout all the new product that are either not available in Ontario or they are not out in the market yet. What I like about this 3 day event is the broad range of product being introduced at the show and in some cases being sold about a fraction of the price. I attend the show to learn about new beauty products and of course all the yummy food.

National Women’s Show is the best place to be for any one, not just women. Who wouldn’t want to learn about new health and fitness products; do some research for future travels (maybe even enter to win a few!) then stop by to sample amazing food products and buy some to take home. After that a quick stop at any of the many beauty booths to learn about new products available to have beautiful hair and skin. Touch up on the makeup and do a glam photo shoot for your very own Chatelaine magazine cover, thanks to the Rogers company.

Take some time and enjoy a 20 min massage from a professional RMT, then take part to break the Guinness World record for the largest number of people applying lipstick (FYI, that’s 320 ppl!). There are so many more services and products available at the show to mention. I think of it as a one stop shop, a very BIG shop! Continue Reading
